Brazilian Health Minister Eduardo Pazuelo announced that the hospital system in the city of Manaus in the Amazon is collapsing due to a second wave of (Covid-19), and that the health institutions there are running out of oxygen.
“The city’s hospitals are short of medical staff, with deaths increasing again,” said Pazuelo, while talking on the Internet with President Jair Bolsonaro.
He added, “The state of Amazon appealed to the United States to send a military transport plane equipped with oxygen cylinders due to the apparent shortage of quantities in the state’s hospitals.”
Brazil announced more than 8 million and 270 thousand cases of corona, to rank third in the world in injuries after the United States and India, and second in the world after the United States in terms of deaths, with more than 206 thousand deaths.
