DENVER – Denver and the Front Range will experience a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday, accompanied by brisk afternoon winds and unseasonably mild temperatures.
A weak weather system is expected to bring increased cloud cover and a chance of light snow to the northern mountains. Highs in the Denver area will remain above average, reaching the upper 60s. Winds will pick up during the afternoon before subsiding around sunset. For the evening’s Broncos game, temperatures are forecast to be in the 50s.
Skies will gradually clear Thursday night as southerly winds become lighter. Overnight lows will fall to the mid-30s, which is closer to the seasonal average.
Friday will feature more sunshine, calmer winds, and highs in the low 60s. The weekend is expected to be cooler, with increased cloud cover. On Saturday, brisk winds will accompany partly cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching the mid-50s. There is a possibility of light snow along the I-70 mountain corridor. Sunday will be cooler still, with highs around 50 degrees under sunnier skies and with lighter winds.
Mild conditions are forecast to return early next week. Both Monday and Tuesday are expected to be sunny with highs in the upper 60s. Wednesday will see more clouds, with temperatures remaining pleasant in the mid-60s.
