Britain could see its warmest Armistice Day on record ahead of an unseasonably balmy weekend, with temperatures set to climb as high as 19C.Â
Temperatures today across the four nations are in the mid-teens, after Northern Ireland and Scotland experienced their warmest November nights on record, according to provisional figures from the Met Office.  Â
The new records for the highest minimum November temperatures are 14.5C in Ireland and 14.6C in Scotland as unseasonably high weather has led to ‘exceptionally mild’ conditions across the UK.Â
The Met Office said: ‘After a very mild night across the UK, we have recorded provisional new highest minimum temperature records for November in both Northern Ireland and Scotland’.Â
And the mild weather is set to continue over the weekend as a spokesperson said temperatures in localised areas, such as the north east and northern areas of Scotland, may reach as much as 18 or 19C on higher ground. Â

Scotland has seen wet and windy conditions this morning, with two weather warnings issued. A yellow weather warning for wind – which could see gusts of wind between 55 and 65mph – is in place until 3pm covering Edinburgh and south towards Lockerbie.
In the north-west of Scotland, a yellow weather warning for rain is in place between midday and 3pm. There is a chance of transport delays, including on buses, trains and on the road, according to the Met Office.Â
Tonight outbreaks of cloud and light rain will lead to patchy fog over England. Â

A strong southerly feed of warm air from the south will maintain the mild feel over the next few days, with temperatures in their mid teens on Saturday and Sunday.Â
Localised areas, such as the north east and north coast of Scotland may see temperatures of 18 and 19C and on Sunday places such as the Lake District and the south east will see highs of 17C as conditions stay well above average.Â
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: ‘It will be largely dry over the weekend with not a lot of rain, although it will affect central and northern Scotland.Â
‘The mild feel will be maintained over the next few days and temperatures will stay well above average. There will be fog tonight and over the weekend, which we haven’t seen much of yet this autumn.’
‘However temperatures will generally trend back closer to average from the start of next week.’Â
There is due to be wetter and windier weather throughout nest week, influenced by the jet stream. Â
