The British government said on Thursday that more than 600,000 people in the United Kingdom have received the first dose of the “Pfizer-Bionic” vaccine against COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health and Social Care said in a statement: “The government today published figures showing that the number of people who received the vaccine between December 8 and December 20 in the United Kingdom is 616,933.”
Britain was the first country to license the use of the German-American “Pfizer-Biontech” vaccine, in a quick move criticized by some experts.
