The death toll from the Corona virus, which causes “Covid-19” disease, in Britain, today, Tuesday, exceeded the level of 100,000 cases, with 1631 deaths recorded today in a new statistic for the course of the pandemic.
The British Ministry of Health reported that the number of registered infections with the emerging corona virus “Covid-19” in the United Kingdom during the past 24 hours increased by 20089, to reach the level of 3689746 cases.
This number represents a decline in the daily Coronavirus infection index in the United Kingdom, which recorded on January 22, 40,261 cases, on January 23, 33,552, on January 24, 30004, and on January 25, 22195.
The Ministry of Health stated that, during the past day, 1631 new deaths due to the disease were detected, bringing the number of victims of the pandemic in the country to 100,162 deaths.
And this indicator had previously reached on January 22, 1401 deaths, on January 23, 1348, on January 24, 610, and on January 25, 592.
Government data also indicated that the number of people who received the first dose of the vaccine against the Coronavirus, reached 6,853 million, including 472,000 people who also took the second dose.
Britain is the 5th country in the world in terms of the number of registered infections with the emerging coronavirus, and the 5th in terms of the death toll from the pandemic.
In recent weeks, the country has monitored an accelerated spread of the disease, and on December 14, the British Health Minister, Matt Hancock, announced that scientists had discovered a new strain of Corona virus, while the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, stated that it was more transmissible, and he recently confirmed that it is also considered more deadly.
However, on December 8, the UK authorities launched a mass vaccination campaign against Coronavirus infection with a vaccine developed by the American “Pfizer” and the German “Biontech” company, to be approved later on a vaccine designed by the American “Moderna” company.
