The UK Parliament intends to debate a new law that would tighten the rules for organizing protests in the country.
This came after London police were criticized for dealing with a nighttime protest that turned into violence on Saturday evening over the killing of a woman.
Bloomberg News reported on Sunday that the legislation due to be presented to the House of Commons on Monday will increase the debate over the killing of Sarah Everard, 33, who disappeared on March 3 after returning to her home at night via a park in south London and a policeman was accused of killing her.
According to “Bloomberg,” the legislation will limit the use of noise in public gatherings and impose new controls on those who gather around Parliament.
It also includes measures that would strengthen the protection of women from sexual crimes and compel those convicted of rape to spend more of their sentences in prison.
