The RT correspondent in Iraq had reported that mortar shells had fallen in the vicinity of Erbil International Airport in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and added that three mortar shells fell within the vicinity of Erbil International Airport, while the area witnessed heavy security deployment and cut off some roads in the surrounding area.
For his part, the spokesman for the International Coalition, Colonel Wayne Maruto, announced that targeting the coalition forces in Erbil with indirect fire resulted in the killing of one civilian contractor and the wounding of 6 others, including an American soldier.
