Britain’s chief medical advisor, Chris Whitty, confirmed that there are many mutations of the emerging corona virus that may reduce the effectiveness of vaccines against it.
He said: “There are many mutations that look very similar to each other in several ways, and in fact they can slightly reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.”
He added, “In some cases, it can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine.”
He continued: “In this case, the scientists redesign the vaccine, which allows re-vaccination against the new strain.”
And British Health Minister Matt Hancock announced last December that scientists had discovered in Britain a new mutation of the Corona virus, which was faster transmission and more deadly.
