British Trade Minister Liz Truss said that her country is preparing to sign a free trade agreement with Turkey, which paves the way for the continuation of trade between the two G20 countries after Britain’s exit from the European Union.
The minister said in a statement that the deal would close existing trade routes and pave the way for an “ambitious individual trade agreement between the United Kingdom and Turkey.”
“The deal we expect to sign this week will maintain duty-free trading arrangements, help support our business relationship and support thousands of jobs across the UK in the industrial sector and the auto industry,” she added.
