Jerry Marsden, the lead singer of the British band “Jerry and the Bismillers”, has passed away, at the age of 78, a friend of his said on Sunday.
Anchor Pete Price said on Twitter: “With a sad heart, after speaking to the family, I must tell you that legend Jerry Marsden unfortunately passed away after a short period of heart disease.”
“Jerry and the Bismakers”, which was founded in 1959, is the owner of the song “You Never Walk Alone”, which in 1963 became the anthem of Liverpool Football Club.
Liverpool club published a tweet on Twitter in which the late British artist mourned.
It is with such great sadness that we hear of Gerry Marsden’s passing.
