The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the conclusion of large-scale global broadcast agreements, with television broadcast rights holders from Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, North America and the Caribbean, before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations next Saturday in Côte d’Ivoire.
CAF explained on its official website on Wednesday that the agreement included the rights to broadcast the tournament in a number of countries, such as England, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, the countries of Northern Europe, and Brazil.
He added that these agreements will lead to the broadcast of African Nations matches in 180 countries.

The statement added, “The significant increase in financial investment, by television rights holders from Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, North America and the Caribbean, will lead to a significant global increase in viewership of the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.”
He continued, “CAF’s radio broadcasting revenues will also increase significantly, and this will help in the development and growth of football on the continent.”

For his part, CAF President Patrice Motsepe said, “It is known that African football and the African Cup of Nations are among the most competitive and exciting competitions in world football.”
Motsepe said, “We are pleased with the extensive global broadcast agreements that CAF has concluded with television broadcasting rights holders, and we are in the process of pumping huge investments into youth football, including football in schools, professional leagues, training coaches and referees, in addition to building and modernizing football infrastructure.” In Africa”.
