Eighteenth-placed Cagliari in the Italian soccer club announced today, Monday, the dismissal of its coach Eusebio Di Francesco after a series of 16 consecutive matches without any win.
“Cagliari announces the dismissal of Eusebio de Francesco from his position as coach of the first team,” said a statement from the club, located on the island of Sardinia.
De Francesco arrived in Cagliari last summer and started the season in a positive way, where he was ranked 11th after seven rounds, before his team entered a cycle of disastrous results as he did not win in his last 16 matches, specifically since the seventh of last November.
