In a candid interview with the Daily Mail, Moisés Caicedo revealed that he has been dealing with persistent physical discomfort but insists that stopping is not an option at this stage of the season. “I sometimes feel pain,” the Ecuadorian confessed. “I’ve been playing through pain, but I won’t stop until I break. I never give up. I’ve gotten used to playing this way.”
Looking ahead to his future with the Blues, Caicedo was clear that to establish himself among the world’s best, his contributions in goals and assists must increase to help the team achieve collective success. “I want to give my all for this club because they didn’t doubt me. I chose Chelsea because they have ambition. I want to win more trophies with this club. I’d like to be here for a long time. I want to continue playing like this, but improve even more.”
Ahead of the upcoming match against Arsenal, Caicedo addressed his anticipated high-level midfield clash with Declan Rice and facing the club that tried to sign him. “Everything happens for a reason. I was close to joining Arsenal, but now I’m here and I’m very happy. It came at the right time. I waited for Chelsea to come for me,” he explained.
“People were laughing, saying I had chosen the wrong place, but sometimes you need time to adapt to a big team. I needed that.”
