© Reuters. CaixaBank finalizes its first debt issue of 2022, a social bond
Barcelona, Jan 13 (.).- CaixaBank (MC:) finalizes the issuance of a social bond maturing in six years, a placement with which this financial institution makes its debut this year in the primary markets.
Financial sources have explained to Efe that this is the fourth placement of a social bond by CaixaBank, and that the issue, in which Natixis (NYSE:) acts as underwriter, offers the option of early amortization one year before.
In May of last year, CaixaBank issued a social bond -then the third of its kind- for an amount of 1,000 million euros to finance education and welfare projects that would contribute to combating poverty.
This time it is a social bond with the preferential senior format.
