Canaco Puebla forecasts favorable sales for El Buen Fin

Puebla, Pue. The National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Canaco Servytur) foresees a favorable end of the year in sales due to El Buen Fin and the Christmas season, but with expectations of economic recovery by 2023.

Marco Antonio Prósperi Calderón, president of the organization, with more than 6,000 members, stated that the other pending issue will be to recover 50% of jobs lost during the first two years of the pandemic, which must be achieved as income improves.

He explained that the commerce sector began to prepare with more merchandise for El Buen Fin and Christmas, for which they analyze applying promotions that range from 30 to 50 percent.

He recalled that the economic benefit expected from this campaign of promotions and discounts will be 7,000 million pesos, 40% higher than last year.

“It is time to take advantage and sell as much as our partners can, to have a quiet end of the year with the payment of Christmas bonuses and other loan commitments that were acquired,” he deepened.

Prósperi Calderón explained that the official indicators, at least in terms of jobs, are far from the reality of a business, which is forced to do more with little staff, hoping to open contracts for the following year.

He stressed that with El Buen Fin, they will return to the usual hours of operations, since they had shortened them by at least one hour, due to the low sales that existed even at the beginning of the second semester.

According to data from Canaco Servytur, El Buen Fin had sales of 5,901 million pesos in 2019, while in the 2021 edition, it was 8,500 million.

Another important fact is that Puebla would generate 7.3% of the sales of 95,000 million pesos that are expected at the national level.
