Capital IP signs agreement with GRULAC to attract investment

In order for Mexico City to attract resources from Latin American and Caribbean countries, the local Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) and the Group of Ambassadors of Latin America and the Caribbean (GRULAC) signed an understanding agreement.

The local president of the confederation, Armando Zúñiga Salinas, announced that the alliance seeks to accelerate economic reactivation, for which it is intended to promote investment projects in the context of taking advantage of all the global changes that are taking place, such as the detonation of nearshoring.

“This agreement represents a great opportunity for the city because despite the fact that 114,470 new jobs have been created in the first 10 months of the year, a figure that places us as the number one entity in job creation, we still have to recover 19,976 to reach figures prior to the pandemic,” he said.

Other axes covered by the alliance, the businessman noted, is the realization of commercial, tourist, cultural, scientific, educational, technological, sustainability and information exchanges.

It is intended that the companies relevant to the GRULAC countries affiliate with Coparmex, in addition to linking to the CONECTA Platform to promote their products and services, as well as access the more than 30,000 available credits.

The ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, Aníbal Cabral, explained that this alliance takes shape within the framework of the start of the Uruguayan trade missions to the capital of the country, and pointed out that as a country they have a special interest in investing in the field of technologies of the information.
