Capufe expects up to 23 million road crossings for Easter

Starting this Friday 8th and until next April 24th, Federal Roads and Bridges (Capufe) expects a capacity of some 23 million crossings through its 120 places established on its toll roads.

For this reason, the organism dependent on the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT) will implement the “Holy Week 2022” operation, to serve the users of the 3,773 kilometers of highways and vehicular bridges managed by hood.

The estimated daily average capacity for this operation is 1.3 million vehicular crossings. The days considered to be the busiest on the highways are April 13, 14 and 17, with an expected daily average of 1.5 million vehicular crossings,” the agency detailed.

In order to serve travelers, Capufe will install 26 pre-hospital care units, 71 ambulances, 36 rescue units, 114 tow trucks and 41 dynamic signaling units along the roads.

Along the highways, 737 people will be deployed to attend medical emergencies and 4,000 public servants who, in collaboration with personnel from the National Guardthe Green Angels Y Civil protectionwill be aware of the required attention on the highways operated by Capufe.

For the holiday period that begins this Friday, Capufe recommends that travelers check the mechanical conditions of cars, always wear a seat belt, and not exceed the established speed limits.
