Carly Rae Jepsen will celebrate the 10th anniversary of her critically acclaimed third album, E•mo•tion, with an intimate, one-night-only concert. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood, where Jepsen will perform the album in its entirety.
In her social media announcement, Jepsen described the event as an “intimate club show where it all began.” She also teased the attendance of “some extra special guests and surprises” and encouraged fans to “dress the hell up! It’s a PARTY.”
Released in 2015, E•mo•tion marked a pivotal moment in the Canadian singer’s career. While she had already achieved global commercial success with the single “Call Me Maybe,” E•mo•tion garnered widespread critical acclaim, cementing her status as a pop innovator. The album was praised for its sophisticated sound on tracks such as “Run Away With Me,” “Emotion,” and “Warm Blood,” and featured collaborations with artists like Sia, Devonté Hynes, Rostam Batmanglij, and Ariel Rechtshaid.
The anniversary show comes after the release of Jepsen’s recent LPs, 2022’s The Loneliest Time and its 2023 companion album, The Loveliest Time. In addition to the E•mo•tion milestone, Jepsen is also collaborating with Lena Dunham on a Broadway musical adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You.
