Washington (Trends Wide) — Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, was diagnosed with breast cancer, the governor announced Monday.
“As a mother of three young children, Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has impacted the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as first lady,” the Republican governor said in a statement saying his wife was a “real fighter”.

“As you face the most difficult test of your life, you will not only have my unwavering support, but the support of our entire family, as well as the prayers and good wishes of Floridians throughout the state,” he said.
The governor’s office did not provide additional details on the diagnosis.
Casey DeSantis, 41, is a former television host and, as first lady, has launched initiatives to address mental illness and substance abuse. She and Ron DeSantis are the parents of three children.
