Italian press reports revealed that Ivorian midfielder Frank Kessie is close to leaving Milan next January, after Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool were interested in signing him.
The Ivorian star’s contract expires in June 2022, so from next January he can sign an agreement with any other club before the free summer transfer. Milan are said to have offered Casey a new deal of 6.5 euros a year, but the former Atalanta player asked for a contract worth 8 million euros.
The Italian newspaper, “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, said that Milan is considering accepting offers for the 24-year-old in January, so as not to see him leave in a free transfer deal like Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu.
The newspaper pointed out that Casey’s level, which has become unstable during the first months of the season as well, increases persuading Milan to consider selling the former Atalanta player.
She pointed out that the next few meetings with the player’s agent George Atangana will be crucial to understanding whether Casey wants to stay in Milan or seek a summer exit.
PSG and Liverpool are said to be interested in the 24-year-old and the next few months will be crucial to see what the future holds for the midfielder.
