Barcelona, Apr 13 (.).- Catalonia has received 32% of the first line of aid destined to the clusters of Spain of the funds Next (LON:) Generation, which represents a total of 6.3 million euros that will go to 16 groups of companies and other agents.
The aid will be for clusters that develop projects such as the robotization of the textile sector, the digitization of the pig sector, the ‘blockchain’ in the wine world or artificial intelligence in the treatment of mental illnesses, or that work to promote the circular economy and prevention of accidents.
According to the General Director of Industry and CEO of ACCIÓ, Natàlia Mas, this percentage shows Catalonia’s leading approach to this model.
“The clusters will play a key role in the distribution of the Next Generation funds due to their ability to attract the companies that are part of them and because they are the best possible space to respond to the collective challenges that we must face as a society and to transform the production model Catalan and European”, highlighted Mas.
