CDMX Labor Conciliation Center served 2,273 people in its first week of operation

The head of the Secretariat of Labor and Employment Promotion of Mexico City, José Luis Rodríguez Díaz de León, announced that during the first week of operation of the Labor Conciliation Center in the capital, 2,273 people have been served.

This Sunday, the local official explained that a good reception has been generated since this model of labor justice started in Mexico City on October 3.

He assured that with this center a new stage begins that seeks to generate a mechanism for dialogue and conciliation of employers and workers.

With the implementation of new labor reform, the workers and employers of Mexico City will have the facility to solve their dispute through dialogue; Otherwise, the labor judge will be responsible for resolving any labor conflicts that arise, “observing at all times the principles of legality, impartiality, transparency, autonomy and independence.”

The secretary announced that the new center has 32 certified conciliators, who were previously trained to receive the demands and to prioritize the conciliation. At the same time, as of January 2023, 60 conciliators will be added, with this it will work with 90 members in its complete stage.

“Those 32 people today are part of the Labor Conciliation Center in Mexico City and have the skills, the necessary experience, with the academic and technical knowledge to be able to carry out a conciliation process,” he considered.

Increase hiring in the State of Mexico

For his part, the Council of Chambers and Business Associations of the State of Mexico (Concaem) announced the proposal to create a Linking and Training System to offer spaces to people with disabilities.

the president of ConcaemGilberto Sauza Martínez, explained that the initiative that was presented to the authorities and the rest of the private sector seeks to link the economic units, and identify the spaces that they have and can give access to a person with a disability.

“We are talking about a scheme that allows generating employment or entrepreneurship conditions for all people, regardless of their age, gender, their physical, cognitive or any type of limitations, because they are people who have experience or ability in other areas that we can take advantage of. , but first we must know what skills we are talking about in order to place them in the best positions”, he reiterated.

As an example, the state business leader stated that derived from different analyses, they found that people who live with a visual disability develop enormous potential in hearing issues, or those who cannot move a certain part of their body sharpen the rest of their senses.

“This is a situation that is repeated in all cases, so it is necessary to know how companies should train and not only accept them, but look for those specific profiles,” he deepened.

According to Sauza Martínez, there are more than 21 million disabled people in the country and of these, 2.3 million are located in the State of Mexico, of these, 40% are currently involved in productive life.
