He explained that for the Consulate it is of great importance that the municipalities adopt this regulation because competitiveness is a priority issue in the bilateral relationship and with this initiative the value chains of the region are strengthened to compete in the global market.
In addition, municipalities attract investment, growth and prosperity, if they offer basic services to people and companies, in terms of security, urban development, civil protection, “for this reason we must ensure their presence to generate better economic development,” he stressed.
He explained that it is a bet that the municipalities are competitive at the local level, because the procedures are expensive, especially for MSMEs, which in Nuevo León represent 91% of companies with less than 10 employees.
For example, the cost for companies to establish themselves represents 3.47% of the economy in the municipalities.
Guadeloupe advances in regulatory improvement
The mayor of Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Cristina Díaz, commented that her municipal administration is part of the 15 municipalities selected at the national level to be part of the program of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), represented by the Consul General of the United States in Monterreyand the CEESP.
