The source added that Camilla seemed ‘somewhat taken aback’ by the question and said, ‘Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain,’ according to Page Six.   

Prince Charles reportedly then added: ‘I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?’ 

A spokesperson for Prince Charles told the publication: ‘This is fiction and not worth further comment.’ 

MailOnline made repeated requests for comment from Harry and Meghan’s representatives and Buckingham palace but had no reply by Sunday evening.

Author Mr Anderson alleges that the reportedly innocent question from Prince Charles was blown out of proportion by a group of courtiers, known as the ‘Men in Grey, who relished in putting a racist spin on it. 

The book also claims that Harry was told he was being ‘overly sensitive’ when he raised the matter to his father. 

And that his brother Prince William said the comment was ‘tactless’ but ‘not a sign of racism’.
