New Charlton Athletic owner Thomas Sandgaard is giving away one of the ‘infamous’ £90,000 Range Rovers that came to represent the madness at the top of the League One club earlier this year.
Seven of the top-of-the-range vehicles, costing over £700,000, were purchased with the club’s money by former chairman Matt Southall and his associates.
They were part of claims by former majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer earlier this year that club finances were being by owners East Street Investments used to fund lavish lifestyles.

Southall denied Nimer’s allegations but the luxury Range Rovers became symbolic of the ownership mess at Charlton before Dane Sandgaard took control at the end of September.
Sportsmail revealed in August that one of the seven Range Rovers was listed on used car website Carcraft just as Charlton were demanding their return.
Now, in an effort to highlight Sandgaard’s push for changes to ownership regulations, one of the cars will be won by a lucky Charlton fan in a ‘Our club, your car’ competition.
Those who wish to enter need to purchase a streaming pass for one of Charlton’s fixture between now and 11.59pm on December 20th.
Danish businessman Thomas Sandgaard has decided to give one of the ‘infamous’ cars away
They will be entered into a prize draw with the winner of the car announced on the club’s Valley Pass stream at half-time during the Boxing Day fixture with Plymouth Argyle.
Sandgaard said: ‘These cars have been like a dark cloud hanging over Charlton. When I bought the club, I couldn’t believe how much had been committed to spend on Range Rovers. It was more than £700,000!
‘For a club at our current level, that is a lot of money and using that money elsewhere, on the squad for example, can make a real difference.
‘One of the first things we have had to do is get the cars repossessed from individuals who have previously been involved at the club and sold most of them to minimise the losses this unnecessary expense has cost the club.
Fans who purchase one of the club’s Valley Pass streaming tickets will enter the competition
‘It has been a difficult year for the fans, so we wanted to give one person an extra-special gift this holiday and that is why we are giving this one away as part of this competition.
‘Hopefully, in doing so, we can highlight the challenges clubs have with ownership and be a part of change.
‘Too many clubs have had ownership issues in recent years, I am pleased the EFL have made important changes on this and it is something I will continue to speak with them about. I want to help to continue to improve the change of ownership process.’
