Chelsea beat London rivals Tottenham 1-0 thanks to defender Antonio Rudiger’s first-half goal to complete their 3-0 victory in the League Cup semi-finals on Wednesday.
Chelsea led 2-0 in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last week, and Rudiger made it difficult for Tottenham when he converted a corner kick from Mason Mount into the net in the 18th minute.
Tottenham struggled to correct the course, but were not lucky, as two penalties were canceled for him in the first and second periods after the intervention of the video assistant referee system.
Harry Kane’s goal was also disallowed for offside after a new intervention from the video referee.
Chelsea, who face Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday, will seek their sixth League Cup title when they face Liverpool or Arsenal in the final.
Liverpool host Arsenal in the first leg of the semi-final on Thursday.
