Sarr only joined the Blues at the end of August from French side Nice on a five-year deal but with first-team opportunities unlikely this season, the 21-year-old has been sent out on loan.

After spending over £230m on new arrivals, including Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva (free) and Sarr (free), Chelsea’s attentions then turned to trying to offload players in the summer market.
A host of potential suitors were reportedly interested in taking Sarr on for the season, with Saint-Etienne, Genoa and Sampdoria all linked with moves.
