Chihuahua Prosecutor’s Office will investigate the suicide of Antonio Tarín, former collaborator of César Duarte

The District Attorney of the Central Zone of Chihuahua, Francisco Martínez Valle, announced that an investigation folder was initiated regarding the death of a person whose identity was confirmed by relatives as Antonio Enrique TG47 years old.

According to the prosecutor, the first inquiries show that the former official during the government of César Duarte (who is in custody for alleged acts of corruption), took his own life by jumping from a bridge at dawn on April 7.

The state official also highlighted that at the time of the events, Antonio Tarín, former director of Acquisitions and Services The Chihuahua State Treasury Secretary was wearing an electronic bracelet that was placed on him as a precautionary measure to free his process, for which reason the security company in charge of the device was also notified so that personnel could come and remove it.

It should be noted that in 2019, Antonio Tarín, 47, was sentenced to six years in prison for the crime of diverting resources from the public treasury of the state of Chihuahua, since his responsibility for the diversion of 2.4 million was proven before a judge. of pesos from the treasury.

In this way, it was established that the former official had committed the crime in co-authorship with the former local deputy, Fernando Mariano Reyes Ramírez and with the businessman Iván Elí Sánchez Jasso, who were also sentenced.

However, Antonio Tarín was only in prison for four years, to be able to bring his process to freedom.
