Chris Pratt is celebrating a major family milestone, as his oldest child, Jack, has officially become a teenager. The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star marked his son’s 13th birthday on Sunday with a heartfelt tribute and a rare collection of photos shared on social media.
Pratt shares Jack with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris. The two have co-parented since their separation in 2017.
In a series of images posted to his Instagram Stories, Pratt expressed both his pride and his disbelief at how quickly time has passed. “I have a teenager???” he wrote. “Jack, I can’t believe you are 13 today. I’ve watched you grow into such an incredible young man, and am truly proud of the person you are becoming.”
The photos showcased a variety of father-son activities, including the pair wearing matching Dodgers jerseys, celebrating as Detroit Lions fans, feeding a calf, and welding. Pratt concluded the tribute with the message, “I love you! Jesus is King!”
The milestone birthday also brings to mind previous interviews in which Pratt has discussed the profound impact of Jack’s birth on his faith. Jack was born seven weeks prematurely in 2012, weighing just 3 pounds, 10 ounces, and faced serious health challenges. Pratt has described this period as a life-altering moment.
“I really made some deals with God,” he once recalled. “And I felt like if you save my son, I will give you everything… He did save my son, and I’ve been trying to make good on that promise ever since.”
Following his divorce from Faris, which was finalized in 2018, Pratt married author Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019. The couple has since welcomed three children: daughters Lyla and Eloise, and a son, Ford.
