(CNN) — Chris Pratt has opened up about how he met his current wife, writer Katherine Schwarzenegger, and why their meeting came at just the right time.
On Tuesday on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the 43-year-old “Super Mario Bros.” voice actor revealed that “there was a time in my life where I was really struggling and I felt really broken.” .
“For me, my own journey, (it was about) finding a higher power and leaning into that and being like, ‘Please save me,’ and then feeling saved,” Pratt said.
“And soon after, I met the woman of my dreams.”
Pratt met Schwarzenegger, daughter of Arnold, the Hollywood icon, in 2018. They married the following year.
“God has a fast forward button,” Pratt said. “When it’s the right thing to do, boom! It hits you. You fall in love, you get married.”
The couple have two daughters, Lyla Maria, 2, and Eloise Christina, 10 months.
Pratt, best known for his roles in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Jurassic World” franchises, also revealed where he met Schwarzenegger, now 33. While many people go to church and find solace, absolution or inner peace, Pratt went to church and found his future wife.
“I was in the front row of the church, and it’s not a place you want to be like, ‘Oh, who is she? Do you understand me?'” Pratt told Barrymore.

Pratt, who was previously married to “Scary Movie” star Anna Faris, said everything about meeting Schwarzenegger felt right.
