And on Friday morning, the actor, 41, landed in Australia via a private jet from Los Angeles alongside his co-stars, as they prepare to film the new movie Down Under in the coming weeks.
Chris, Dave Bautista and Karen Gillan were pictured shortly after touching down at Sydney Airport, before the group headed off to begin their mandatory 14-day quarantine in a hotel amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

A day before their arrival, Chris had let slip that he was starring in Thor alongside Byron Bay based Chris Hemsworth during an interview with actor Tom Holland on Instagram live.
‘I’m excited to go a country that took the lock down very serious and eradicated the disease and now they’re fully up and back to normal,’ he said of his upcoming trip.
‘That’ll be so good there and to go to like a restaurant,’ he continued.
A surprised Tom, 24, responded: ‘Wait a minute, did you just say you’re going to be in Thor? That’s so crazy.’

On the Thor front, Love And Thunder is the follow up to 2017’s massively successful third installment in the series, titled Thor: Ragnarok.
Like that film, the fourth Thor movie will be directed by Taika Waititi and star Chris Hemsworth.
Secret’s out: Chris was chatting to actor Tom Holland (bottom) on Instagram live when he let slip that he was heading Down Under to film his scenes for the anticipated Marvel film
Notably, Love And Thunder will welcome back Oscar winner Natalie Portman to the franchise, who last played her role of Jane Foster in the less successful second chapter of Thor in 2013, titled Thor: The Dark World.
And in the new film, she is said to be taking on the mantle of Thor, thereby becoming the first female actor to do so.
Another Academy Award winner set to appear in Love And Thunder is Christian Bale, who is said to be cast in an as-yet undisclosed villainous role.
Thor: Love And Thunder is currently slated for release in February of 2022.
Incoming! American actor Chris is a regular Marvel hero, and previously appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy
