Despite their recent improvement, the Houston Rockets are still the worst team in the NBA. Their three wins and sixteen losses push them to the bottom of the league. Unfortunately for them, perhaps their record is the least of their worries, as the team’s poor image goes to the point of putting Stephen Silas on the line. Something unusual in projects as inert as that of the Texans. What is more common in these types of groups is that their veterans ring for possible transfers, and Christian Wood and Daniel Theis have been the first objects of these rumors.
On his last article on The Ringer, Kevin O’Connor points to the good looks of Alperen Sengun as a catapult to such transfers. As he writes insider “There is some expectation in the league for Christian Wood, who only has one year left on his contract. There are several teams that hope the Rockets are willing to listen to offers. De Theis limits himself to saying that it may also be the interest of some teams in need of a veteran center who comes off the bench.
The German signed this summer with Houston for four years and $ 35 million in what was a move to say the least, given the outlook ahead for the Rockets. At the moment, only Wood and Theis are aiming for the exit ramp, although it would not be a surprise if Eric Gordon joined them shortly.
