Christopher Nolan’s 2006 thriller, The Prestige, is set to land on a new streaming service in March.
Nolan’s 2006 film, The Prestige, will drop on Hulu on March 14. The thriller, which unites Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, follows two stage magicians in 1890s London, who develop an intense rivalry with one another. Obsessed with outdoing the other, the rivalry inevitably grows out of control, leading to dire consequences. Jackman and Bale lead the stacked cast, which also includes the talents of Nolan movie regular Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall, Piper Perabo, Samantha Mahurin, Andy Serkis, and the legendary David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. Nolan co-wrote the script alongside his brother, Jonathan, who would serve as a writer on several of his other movies.

While The Prestige was well-reviewed at the time and certainly has a case for being one of the director’s best movies, it interestingly ranks as one of Nolan’s lowest-grossing films ever, only beating out his time-bending feature Memento and his debut film, Following. His subsequent film, The Dark Knight, would send the director into the box office stratosphere, establishing him as Hollywood’s new big event filmmaker. However, The Prestige still stands as one of his best, featuring a climactic twist that will surely delight first-time viewers on Hulu. The film is also available to rent or purchase on VOD platforms such as Fandango at Home, Prime Video, and Apple TV.

Well, it was recently revealed that Matt Damon, who previously worked with Nolan on Oppenheimer, will star as the iconic hero.
