The Portland Trail Blazers have finally had an addition to celebrate with the arrival of Larry Nance Jr. offseason of those from Oregon it promised to be convulsed, but finally the franchise has closed its market as one of the teams that has moved the least. It is not surprising then that CJ McCollum has been full of praise with the addition of the former Cavaliers player. “I can’t wait to see how it helps us take the next step. It is definitely a signing of great value ”, assured the player in Pull Up, podcast staff I recently shared with Kyle Lowry.
The Blazers’ second sword didn’t stop there and he proved to be a true fan of Nance’s game. “He can do a little bit of everything on the track. He’s smart, he can play block and go. He is also capable of defending the rim, on the perimeter and shooting. I think that the last few seasons it has touched 36% in the shot of three. And obviously he’s a guy who can finish near the rim. “
The truth is that McCollum is right, Larry Nance Jr. covers many of the needs that Portland has been showing in recent times. But it might not be enough to take that next step that CJ refers to. During the past preseason, the acquisition of Robert Covington also seemed ideal to continue moving forward as a project. However, with Covington being a very good player even having underperformed, the Blazers are still at the same point as ten months ago. To which must be added the shadow that accompanies Damian Lillard and his possible departure.
