Our correspondent in Syria reported that clashes occurred with automatic weapons and RBG shells between the “Army of Islam” and the “Levant Front”, in Afrin, northwest of Aleppo, Syria.
Local sources in the countryside of Aleppo reported that clashes occurred between the two factions within the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions in Afrin, and other factions entered to resolve the clash between the clashes.
A citizen of the city told RT: “The reason for these clashes between the Turkish-backed factions is due to their disagreement over the division of the properties of the original inhabitants of the city.”
He added, “Members of the Levantine Front confiscated the money of a number of Jaysh al-Islam elements coming from Libya, and then clashes erupted.”
For their part, Syrian activists confirmed that two members of the “Army of Islam” were killed and about 12 others were wounded as a result of the “Levantine Front” group attack on the “Army of Islam” headquarters in the city center.
