In Salfit, citizens responded to the settlers ’attack after Friday prayers in Khallet Hassan, west of the town of Bidya, west of Salfit, where clashes broke out between citizens, settlers and Israeli forces, and settlers detained a young man who was documenting settler violations.
It is noteworthy that thousands of dunums in Khallet Hassan, which belong to five villages west of Salfit and south of Qalqilya, are threatened with being seized from Israel with the aim of establishing a new settlement to link the occupation settlements in the area.
Palestinian media also indicated that the people of Thala area, east of Yatta, and the people of Bidya town in Salfit, on Friday, responded to the settler attacks.
The coordinator of the Popular and National Committees, south of Hebron, Ratib al-Jabour, said that the people of Tha`la area responded to the attacks of the settlers of the “Carmiel” settlement, which is built on citizens’ lands and with the protection of the army.
The settlers tried to attack the family of Mahmoud Shnran, who lived in caves owned by the family in Tha`la area, claiming that it is “state land” leased by Tel Aviv to these settlers.
Jabour added that the Shanran family responded to this attack and refused to obey the threats of settlers and the Israeli forces, and confirmed their attachment to their properties that the settlers are trying to seize.
