In this context, it was reported that the clashes took place around the People’s Hall on the outskirts of the Eastern Andalus neighborhood between the Public Security Force of the Ministry of Interior and the former deterrent force, which is now called the Deterrence Agency to Combat Organized Crime and Terrorism, which is a formation that follows the Presidential Council.
While a nightly video clip of clashes was circulated between the two parties with heavy and medium weapons, other sources played down their importance, indicating that they were limited.
One account says that these clashes erupted between a force affiliated with Minister of Interior Fattji Bashaga and a security formation affiliated with the President of the Presidency Council Fayez al-Sarraj, after the General Security Force of the Ministry of Interior refused to allow members of the deterrence apparatus of the Presidential Council to enter areas inside the capital without coordination prior.
In this regard, it was indicated that the clashes ceased after the withdrawal of deterrence personnel to combat organized crime and terrorism, and the return of the Public Security Forces to their posts.
