Claudia Sheinbaum achieves 90% progress in her government commitments

The head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardowill end this 2022 with an advance of 90% of the commitments with which his administration started.

At a press conference, the capital’s president explained that within the context that the Accountability Exercise was carried out this Monday for her fourth year of administration, there is already a new cut on the objectives achieved in her administration, where the economic and financial part.

“We have fulfilled around 90% of the commitments we made when we entered the City Government, even with everything and the pandemic (…) Not only can we say that we are fulfilling practically all the commitments, but also, there is a very important economic recovery of the city”, he assured.

Regarding what his government is pending and that it will seek to specify by 2023, he explained that it is finishing Line 1 of the Metro, reinforcing Line 12 and concreting towards the west, as well as the construction of Line 3 of the Cablebús.

“Also, next year we are going to dedicate a lot of effort to the city’s health system. The health system is going to switch to the IMSS-Welfare system, but we are going to be one of the last entities to switch to the IMSS-Welfare. So, we are working with INSABI, with the IMSS itself so that from January there is no shortage of medicines, that there are all the doctors in the health centers, in the hospitals. We are going to dedicate a lot of effort to the city’s health system, ”he reiterated.

Results

According to Sheinbaum Pardo, among the results achieved, it stands out that since 2019 the city has obtained 100% transparency in the General Index of Compliance with Transparency Obligationsin addition to the fact that it is the best evaluated subnational government in Latin America before Moody’s, Fitch and HR Ratings.

Also, in the second delivery of the audit of the Public Account 2021, the Superior Audit of the Federation placed Mexico City as one of the federal entities with the best results.

Since 2021, local revenues have increased, precisely in this 2022 they are already 11.8% above the projected collection. Local tax revenues registered 54,306.3 million pesos in the third quarter of 2022, a result that exceeded the programmed goal by 8.9%.

Meanwhile, the capital is the one with the greatest attraction of Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country; in the first half of the year it raised 9,356.2 million dollars, a historical maximum.
