Claudia Sheinbaum proposes that the Buenavista Suburban Train reach Pachuca.

In order to achieve total connectivity and to establish an industrial tourist corridor for the Valley of Mexico, the Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaumproposed that within the expansion project of the Buenavista Suburban Train to Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) is contemplated to arrive to Pachuca.

During the first ordinary session of the Metropolitan Development Council of the Valley of Mexico in 2023, which is made up of Hidalgo, the State of Mexico and the capital, he explained that he had already presented this project initiative to the governor of Hidalgo, Julio Menchaca.

“We have to guarantee that the train that goes from Buenavista to AIFA, reaches Pachuca and then we have a mobility project between the three entities of the Republic that reduces, of course, the Mexico-Pachuca highway and that allows a very large mobility because In addition, in Buenavista it connects with different modes of transportation,” he stressed from Pachuca, Hidalgo.

He specified that this is not the first time that regional metropolitan mobility actions have been carried out, for example, there is the Mexibús, the Metrobús, the Cablebús, the Mexicable.

“We developed an Elevated Trolleybus, which goes to the east of the city with 8 kilometers of second floor where only trolleybuses circulate. Now, this work is going to be connected to the Chalco Valley and it is going to represent a very innovative work in public transport that is going to solve a very serious mobility problem for the inhabitants of the eastern zone. And these examples can work for many other places,” he commented.

To this is added the work with the Federation to improve the interconnection of the three states, “it has been a job that we do month after month with the President of the Republic.”

He deepened that between Hidalgo, the State of Mexico and the capital of the country they are also proposing a project that generates a territorial ordering that triggers industrial activities and thus takes advantage of the current context.

“We have to guarantee, and I am sure that this is where we are going, the sustainable development of this Metropolitan Area and with it the territorial ordering. You have to recognize the economic potential that this area has,” she added.

He assured that the downtown area has great growth potential, specifically with the arrival of investments related to the reconfiguration that has occurred with supply companies from Asia and Europe.

“Today we can say that we are providing the inhabitants of the Metropolitan area of ​​the Valley of Mexiconot only a great present, but always a better future”, stressed the Head of Government.
