The mountain rescue crew posted an update on the incident on its Facebook webpage, saying the adult men were identified at number two gully on the north facial area of the mountain.

‘With the weather conditions creating some tough conditions the helicopter was minimal to the guidance it could provide.
‘This meant that we experienced an prolonged extrication of the casualties and 8 hrs immediately after the first call we delivered the casualty to the Belford Healthcare facility for even more assessment and treatment method.
