Club America will host Tijuana at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes on Wednesday, seeking their first victory of the Liga MX Apertura season.
Andre Jardine’s side began their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Juarez, while Tijuana is coming off a 1-0 win over Queretaro in their opening match.
For the upcoming fixture, Club America is expected to use a 3-4-3 formation. Rodriguez Cota will likely remain in goal, protected by a defensive line of Sebastian Caceres, Igor Lichnovsky, and Cristian Borja. The midfield is set to feature Alan Cervantes and Ralph Orquin, with Bryan Rodriguez and Diego Espinoza operating on the wings. In attack, Alejandro Zendejas and Rodrigo Aguirre are expected to start, though the team will be without Erick Sanchez, who is suspended following a red card against Juarez.
Tijuana manager Sebastian Abreu is anticipated to counter with a 4-1-4-1 setup. Antonio Rodriguez is the probable choice for goalkeeper, with a back four of Rafael Fernandez, Jackson Porozo, Unai Bilbao, and Jesus Vega. Inigo Tona will likely anchor the midfield, supported by Rodrigo Arciga and Kelvin Castaneda. The attack will feature width from Adonis Preciado and Gilberto Mora, with Shamar Nicholson leading the line. Joe Corona and Domingo Blanco provide additional offensive options from the bench.
The match is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, July 16, at 9 pm ET (6 pm PT) for viewers in the United States. The game will be broadcast live on UniMas, Univision, and can be streamed via ViX.
