CMIC and the municipality of San Pedro Garza García sign an agreement for integrity

Monterrey, NL. La Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC), delegation New Lion signed a collaboration agreement for integrity with the municipality of San Pedro Garza Garciato give continuity to the collaboration they have in terms of transparency and combating corruption.

The objective of this agreement is to create the basis for collaboration for the design and promotion of a business integrity policy among the active members of the representative body, said Mariana Téllez, secretary of the Comptroller and Transparency of the municipality.

We are convinced that through vigilance in purchases and public works, through the integrity networks of regulatory improvement, and above all through citizen understanding on these issues, we are going to generate great public strength”, he explained.

Roberto Macías Quintanilla acknowledged the progress made by the mayor of San Pedro Garza GarciaMiguel Treviño in the fight against corruption.

“Over the years we have seen how the development of a city is directly linked to the quality and planning of its infrastructure,” he recalled.

“A clear example of this is the municipality of San Pedro, where in recent times we have seen a considerable improvement in transparency, which has generated greater confidence in the public and certainty among developers seeking to participate in tenders,” he said. .

In turn, Miguel Treviño assured that in San Pedro Garza Garciathe quality of the works has increased, thanks to the transparency and ethics achieved both by its administration and by the contractors.

What works is that everything is as agile as possible, in such a way that the interests of the construction companies and the interests of the municipal government are completely aligned, emphasized the mayor.

“Here we set a rule, in the public works that have been contracted in this triennium, they present estimates on a Friday and are paid after 15 days”, he indicated.

A work needs to have revolving credit to be paying constantly, what it is about is complying with estimates and with the different sites of the project, in such a way that the government is paying on time, explained the mayor.

The signing of the agreement took place within the framework of the discussion “Integrity as a competitive advantage; bases and best practices in public works”, organized by San Pedro and in which members of CMIC Nuevo León participated.
