The upcoming second season of the documentary series “Faceoff: Inside the NHL” will once again feature the reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers, promising fans an even deeper look behind the scenes.
One candid moment captured during the Stanley Cup Final showcases the team’s unique dynamic. In the clip, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice walks through a room adjacent to the team’s dressing room, only to unexpectedly encounter a naked Brad Marchand.
Maurice’s immediate and unfiltered reaction was caught on camera: “That’ll f*ck you up for a couple months.”
The humorous interaction illustrates the close-knit camaraderie between the Panthers’ players and staff, a key element often cited in their championship success.
Marchand, acquired by Florida in a trade-deadline deal with the Boston Bruins, proved to be a vital part of the team’s title run. In 23 playoff games, he tallied 10 goals and 10 assists with a +17 rating. His six goals in the Stanley Cup Final included a historic performance where he became the first player in NHL history to score both an overtime winner and an opening-minute goal in consecutive games of the Final.
