Billy Donovan, coach of the Chicago Bulls, has announced that Coby White has tested positive for coronavirus, so he will be out in the next games of the Illinois organization.
According to the NBA’s health and safety protocol, the guard of the Bulls will be quarantined for at least 10 days and can only return to action when he obtains two consecutive negative tests with a margin of at least 24 hours between them.
White, who started the season injured, has played the last nine Chicago games to average 6.1 points and 2.6 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per night; numbers that are very far from the 15.1 points, 4.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds that he signed last season in 31.2 minutes per game.
The arrival of players of the stature of Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan has relegated him to the second unit, a role that can come in handy as a scorer from the bench, but to which he has not finished adapting, although it is also true that he has been practically five months without playing due to an intervention on the left shoulder.
