Commerce, services and tourism sectors project a 2% increase in sales for Good End 2022

With discounts of up to 70% on different products, the commerce, services and tourism sector projects a 2% growth in sales during the Good End 2022, and an increase of up to 5 percentage points in the participation of online commerce.

Hector Tejeda Shaarpresident of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco-Servytur), guaranteed the supply of the best-selling merchandise during this season, considered the cheapest of the year, since “manufacturers have complete products and supplies, with inventory, which they will “sacrifice with lower costs” to achieve the reactivation of face-to-face dynamics in the shops.

For the Good End 2022 estimates the economic benefit of 195,000 million pesoswhich compared to the previous year, represents growth of 2%, but with fewer days, highlighted the president of Concanaco.

In a joint press conference with the head of Profeco, Ricardo Sheffieldstated that “there are conditions for this Good End to have a behavior equal to or greater than last year’s despite having fewer days”.

“Las remittances of our countrymen in the United States grew again. The social support that goes directly to the beneficiaries and that is in cash, not in kind, has also increased and is in the pockets of Mexican families,” she said.

Héctor Tejada mentioned that the offer will depend on each business and according to the possibilities, but there are conditions to offer up to 70% discount on various products, but it will be limited to the volume of inventory that each store has.

Sheffield Padilla clarified that some products, such as electronics or cars, their “deliveries are not being immediate and that is why Profeco is there, if they tell you that they will deliver to you in three months, then we are in order in the event that they are not delivered within the three months established by the supplier, the supplier can be sanctioned for non-timely delivery”.

He specified that the Penalties for non-compliant merchants will be up to 10% of their sales recorded from the previous year.
