Data issued by the China Association of Vehicle Manufacturers showed that the volume of commercial vehicle sales in China jumped by 18.3% on an annual basis in the first three quarters of this year, reaching about 2.94 million units.
During this period, commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market rose 15.9% year on year to nearly 2.39 million units, China’s official Xinhua News Agency reported Saturday.
At the same time, about 549 thousand commercial vehicles were exported, an increase of 30.2% compared to the same period in 2022.
Specifically, in the first three quarters, passenger vehicle and truck sales increased by 22.4% and 17.8% year over year, respectively.
Data indicate that last September alone, total commercial vehicle sales in China reached 371,000 units, an annual increase of 33.2% year on year.
