Jesús Abel “N,” also known as “El Pato,” has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a homicide committed in 2023 in the Olimpo neighborhood of San Miguel de Allende.
A judge handed down the sentence during an abbreviated trial after the accused accepted responsibility for the charges filed by the State Attorney General’s Office.
The murder occurred on the evening of October 2, 2023, inside a residence in the area. The investigation determined that Jesús “N” attacked the victim with a wire and a sharp object, inflicting multiple fatal wounds.
Following the homicide, he wrapped the body in tarps and sheets. He then threatened other individuals with a firearm, forcing them to help move the body to another location where it was set on fire. The Specialized Homicide Investigation Unit for Region D gathered forensic evidence and witness testimony that confirmed “El Pato’s” involvement in the crime.
In addition to the prison term, the sentence includes a fine and an order to pay over half a million pesos in damages. Furthermore, his political rights have been suspended, and he is ineligible for any legal benefits that could reduce his sentence.
