NEWTOWN, Pa. – Conduent Business Services, LLC, a company providing digital process solutions for businesses and government agencies, has disclosed a significant data breach. The law firm Edelson Lechtzin LLP has subsequently launched an investigation into potential data privacy claims on behalf of affected individuals.
Conduent discovered a cybersecurity incident affecting its network on or around January 13, 2025. The company reports it immediately took steps to secure its systems and began an investigation into the matter.
The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party had access to the company’s network from October 21, 2024, to January 13, 2025. During this period, the unauthorized actor gained access to files containing sensitive personal information. Data potentially compromised in the breach includes names, Social Security numbers, medical information, and health insurance details.
In light of the incident, Edelson Lechtzin LLP is investigating a potential class-action lawsuit to pursue legal remedies for those whose data may have been exposed.
Individuals who receive a data breach notification from Conduent are advised to take protective measures against potential identity theft and fraud. Recommended actions include regularly reviewing financial account statements and monitoring credit reports for any suspicious or unauthorized activity.
