BREAKING NEWS: Conor McGregor calls new sexual assault accusations against him ‘a shakedown’ and says claimant has changed her story after asking him for money over ‘forced oral sex in VIP bathroom’ incident
- The MMA fighter has been accused of sexual assault after an incident in Miami
- The woman reported the incident to the police and to McGregor’s attorneys
- Both the police and the Miami Heat are conducting ‘full investigations’
Conor McGregor has responded to the release of a video that shows the MMA fighter allegedly leading the woman who accused him of sexual assault into the toilets at the NBA finals last week.
In a statement issued in the wake of allegations that the fighter ‘forced (the woman) into oral sex and then spat on her and himself’, McGregor’s team claimed the allegations were just ‘a shakedown’ after the woman ‘changed her story’.
The woman claimed the Irish UFC fighter forced her to perform oral sex in the VIP bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami before spitting on her. She also alleged that McGregor spat on himself while trying to become aroused.
The woman’s attorney told DailyMail.com that she went to police on Sunday to report the incident, but was turned away and advised to hire legal help.
On Thursday, the woman returned to the police station with her attorney, and gave the police the clothes she was wearing on the evening of the alleged incident, which she believes has McGregor’s DNA – from saliva and re-ejaculate – on them.
Conor McGregor’s team have called new allegations of sexual assualt ‘no more than a shakedown’ against the MMA fighter
The video clip appeared on TMZ, and appears to show McGregor making his way through a crowd before saying something to a woman.
He then seems to grab her hand and lead her into the toilet – flanked by security guards – with the door then shutting behind them.
Miami Police say they are investigating, whilst Miami Heat – the tenants at the Kaseya Center hosting McGregor at Game 4 of the Finals – are themselves said to be ‘conducting a full investigation’.
