Through its legal address, the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) will file next week before the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) the constitutional controversy against the presidential Agreement that declares infrastructure projects and works that the government considers priority and strategic for national development are of public interest and national security, reported Blanca Lilia Ibarra.
“Surely it will be in the next four or five business days when I present,” said the commissioner, head of INAI.
Interviewed in the Senate, within the framework of her participation in a forum on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day against Corruption, she clarified that the INAI’s decision to challenge the aforementioned Agreement does not mean an injury to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
“We warn that this agreement may slow down and limit people’s right to know. There is no political issue here ”, declared Lilia Ibarra.
They ask to reflect
Ricardo Rodríguez Romero, president of the Association of Engineers and Architects of Mexico (AIAM), affirmed that his union shares the thoughts on the fight against corruption of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, whom he invited to reflect on the Agreement that limits transparency on public works.
During the morning conference at the National Palace, within the framework of the delivery of the 2020 National Awards to engineers and architects of the country, Rodríguez Romero expressed: “We strive for transparency and we invite you to reflect on the recently published Agreement that declares various public works as of national security and the works must be of the best quality, at the lowest cost and within the projected time ”.
The president of the AIAM considered corruption “an ingrained evil that must continue to be fought, the government and civil society working together.”
